I know this is from Christmas, but I'm a little slow on the uptake these days. I have officially started teaching and am left on empty most days... but more about that later ;)
While in Pittsburgh for the holiday, we took a group trip to the National Aviary and the Pittsburgh Children's Museum. "Uncle Gosh" and his girlfriend, Ashley, joined us for the day... I don't know if Hayden had more fun tackling and swinging from Josh's shoulders or exploring the museums!

The Children's Museum had a large section with activities from Mister Rogers' Neighborhood (the trolley, the puppets, the piano, etc), since Rogers himself was a Pittsburgh native. But Hayden clearly had two favorite sections: the garage room and the water room.
The old planetarium was remodeled to include an old Mini for future mechanics to work on, parachutes to drop from atop the stairs, and endless demonstrations on how engines, lights, and wheels work.
The garage and many of the other exhibits were fun, but I think everyone most enjoyed the water. And I do mean everyone... within minutes of walking in, Patrick, Josh, Ashley, and Hayden engaged in a water fight instead of building connecting hoses. Great example for the kids.
