The Palace

Well I know everyone wants to see photos of where I am, so they are posted below.  Unfortunately I am pretty limited in what I can post due to operational security so most of these are the generic ones.  I will try to take some better ones that I can show people in person some time later.  

Jet lag finally wore off, but then I switched to the night shift.  Which is great because the JOC isn't as hectic and the weather isn't too hot, but I might turn in to an insomniac if I don't figure out this whole sleeping during the day thing.  Today was my first day being nocturnal and it wasn't too bad.  Thank you ambien.

This is the tent city in Kuwait.  Very exciting.  Luckily I was only here for about a day.

Below are pictures from the C-17 I flew in on.  

And this is Baghdad International Airport on the right, and the palace on the left.  There is a pretty constant haze, which is basically floating dirt.  It gets on and in everything, including your lungs.
