Patrick graduated from BOLC in the top 20% of his class (no surprise) and received very positive feedback from all his peer reviews. We are so proud of him and how hard he's been working!
Katy is finished with student teaching as of tomorrow. Overall, it was a great experience but I think I'll try and avoid kindergarteners until Hayden is of age. I've had my share of random children sucking my thumb while I hold their hand to make them walk straight in the hallways.
Everything is finalized with the lease on our new home. We have already started slowly buying furnishings...we're clearly excited!
Hayden is more aware of the impending move than I expected. He keeps talking about our new house with a garage and his new (big) room. Frankly, I'm just excited to have a nice kitchen!
We had a wonderful time in Baltimore with many of the Regans joining us! Lacrosse on a sunny day, people watching (aka. Katy and Matt judging) at the Inner Harbor, liquor/beer runs downtown - probably not the best idea in hindsight, and Hayden and Grace's incredible ability to pass for 21 yrs at the Irish Pub.
The Fultons will be heading south next week to bring some of the furniture they've been storing. After packing up our place, we'll head to DC to meet with Josh and rendezvous for Ali's Graduation!
Patrick and Michael left for the cross-country trip yesterday morning and hit Chicago last night. Thanks to the good timing (or rather their sudden ability to make the Xterra fly), they boys were able to relax and enjoy a day's layover in the Windy City: dining at Ditka's, views of Lake Michigan, and a Cubs game. Kind of makes up for driving almost 4,000 miles.
It's been a very busy couple of months. The immediate future's not looking any slower.
